Kate Thompson, FNP
Meet Kate Thompson, a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner! She is the owner of LKN Wellness, which specializes in acute + holistic primary care, plus IV hydration and aesthetics! Kate comes with an extensive background caring for pediatric and adult patients in the Emergency Department and Urgent Care. She transitioned from strictly treating patients in the acute setting to caring for patients holistically as an integrative nurse practitioner.
When I became a nurse, I did so because I wanted to spend time with my patients and truly get to know them. People are complex, and each part of who we are affects the rest; this is where caring for people "holistically" is a necessity, not a luxury. At LKN Wellness our model is based on building a relationship with our patients using close communication and spending time together. I describe how I practice as, "primary care with a twist!" When it comes to our health, I feel there is certainly a time and place for allopathic, modern medicine; but the more tools you have in your toolbox, the better. Many patients want to explore more natural, complimentary, or alternative therapies which I absolutely love and support. My job as their family nurse practitioner is to come alongside, and act as a guide to safely exercise their medical freedoms on their journey to health!
