Ashley Dorado

Myofunctional Therapist | Founder, MyoMovement LLC

Ashley is a certified Myofunctional Therapist and the founder of MyoMovement LLC, serving patients in the Queen City of Charlotte, North Carolina. With a passion for airway health, functional breathing, and early intervention, Ashley is dedicated to helping individuals and families improve overall health through orofacial myofunctional therapy and breathing re-education.

Ashley’s journey into myofunctional therapy began through personal experience with orofacial myofunctional disorders (OMDs), infant feeding challenges, and tongue-tie related issues. This hands-on experience led her to pursue extensive education in the prevention, early intervention, and treatment of airway and functional concerns in both children and adults. Her approach emphasizes long-term wellness, growth guidance, and improved breathing patterns.

Ashley has completed advanced training and holds certifications as a Munchee Certified Practitioner, with additional coursework including MyoCircle Advanced Training, Buteyko Breathing Method (certBBM), MyoMentor®, TOTS Training®, and Tongue-Tied Academy Lite, specializing in tethered oral tissues, airway-focused therapy, and functional oral habits. She is actively pursuing her IAOM Certified Orofacial Myologist (COM®) credential.

A dedicated leader in her community, Ashley is an active member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA), International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM), International Association of Airway Hygienists (IAAH), and the Airway Circle. She is also a mentor for The Myo Membership®, a featured speaker for professional organizations, and can be found on myofunctionaltherapist.com.

Through MyoMovement LLC, Ashley is committed to providing airway-centered, evidence-based myofunctional therapy services that support improved breathing, feeding, sleep, and overall function. She looks forward to helping patients in the Charlotte area achieve lasting health outcomes in a supportive, education-driven environment.
