Ova Women’s Healthcare was founded by Liz Skalsky, a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC) who is passionate about helping women navigate every phase of hormonal and sexual wellness with confidence and compassion.
With over 25 years of experience in gynecological care, Liz brings a deep focus on perimenopause, menopause, sexual health, and metabolic and weight management. She created Ova as a sanctuary for women seeking healthcare that feels personal, unrushed, and truly holistic. Her approach blends advanced clinical expertise with a grounded, whole-person perspective, ensuring each woman feels heard, understood, and empowered in her health journey.
At Ova Women’s Healthcare, Liz believes every woman deserves care that listens deeply and treats intentionally. Whether navigating hormonal changes, addressing weight concerns, or seeking to reconnect with sexual health, Liz partners with her patients using empathy, expertise, and evidence-informed care. Her work is rooted in collaboration and long-term wellness, not quick fixes.
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Liz relocated to the Lake Norman area with her husband, four children, dogs, and extended family. She is deeply committed to breaking down barriers to care, expanding awareness, and continuing to advocate for women’s healthcare rights.
